Sunday Gathering
- What kind of music do you play?
We love to sing at City Gate Church!
You will be able to join us in contemporary songs of praise that we hope will inspire you and bring you closer to God.
- How long is the sermon?
We meet for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, but you will see many staying after service to talk, get to know others, connect and simply do life together!
Don't be surprised if you see some of us in local restaurants around our church as we share meals together.
- What's the dress code?
Hey, as long as you come dressed you are welcome! :)
No need for fancy clothes but if you like to dress up on Sundays we'll save you a spot as well!
- Will I be asked to stand up and introduce myself?
Nope.
- Will I be asked to pray out loud?
Not unless you want to.
- Will I be asked for money?
As a church we believe in giving generously out of the abundance God gives us but we also believe giving should be joyful.
You are not expected to give, but we will have an opportunity for those that want to give to do so during the gathering and also online.
We would love to have you and the service is a gift to you.
Kids Ministry
- What will kids do during service?
They'll have a lot of fun while connecting with God and others in an age specific group. At CityGate Church we are very intentional about the next generation and their faith.

- Where do I take my kids on Sunday?
When you arrive, you can go straight to our VIP table and one of our volunteers will take you to our kid’s check in station and assist you and your child.
- Are there kids my kids' ages?
Yes! We have children from all ages and they attend a group with kids their age.
- What if my child hasn't heard about God yet?
We have a very welcoming environment and above all our teachers and volunteers want to help your children connect with God and with others.
We love introducing them to God!
- What if my child brings a friend that don't believe in God?
Our teachers and volunteers are very welcoming and love to love on children!
It is a blessing for us to simply show them the ways of Jesus by how we love one another.
- Can children volunteer at CityGate?
Of course! We encourage it! Starting at age 10 they can move forward with approval process by the ministry leader.

It is a blessing to us to help you go through any questions you may have about faith and God and our doors are always open.
It takes courage to explore faith and we would love to sit down for a cup of coffee and help answer any questions you may have or look for the answers together.

- How can I know what I need to do next?
As a new believer you will receive a Bible and a book, “7 Basics, Strong Roots for Every Christian” from us at CityGate church. We also offer a class called “Getting a Grip on the Basics” to help every believer become established in the basics of their faith.

- What if I don't know how to read the Bible?
We highly recommend using the YouVersion Bible App which has great devotional tips and tools for making the Bible a part of your daily life.
- How can I find my purpose?
Our Growth Track step 2 “Discover” will help you on your journey to discover all God has for you and the gifts He has given you to help others.
Serving
- How can I serve here?
We have many serving opportunities and we truly desire to have you serve side by side.

- How can I become a leader?
Complete the Growth Track, Getting a Grip on the Basics, and be a faithful volunteer and you’re on your way.
- What do you have for where am I at?
We offer First Steps, Getting a Grip on the Basics, Growth Track and small groups to assist you in your walk.
- Can we serve as a family?
Absolutely! We have many opportunities during our Sunday gatherings as well serving our community at the Dream Center.
- How are you serving the community?

- Are there volunteer opportunities for teenagers?
Yes! Many of our students volunteer in our children’s classrooms, Guest Service teams and at the Dream Center.
Outreach
- What is the Dream Center?
The Dream Center is a hub of activity for our community. We partner with community groups to provide services for children, students, and families. We have a large meeting space, classrooms, a dance studio, full kitchen, running track, computer lab, a giant warehouse that is being converted to an indoor soccer field, sport courts, and coffee bar. We strive to provide a fun, creative, and safe environment to encourage dreams and see destinies transformed.
- How can I serve at the Dream Center?
We have numerous opportunities, whether it be serving food, playing soccer or volleyball with the students, helping with crafts, being a friend, or using your handy man skills, we have a place for you.
- Can I present a proposal for an activity to start at the Dream Center?
